Blaisdell, has guided Zippo’s dedication to quality and service since our founding
in 1932 – and is the main reason that Zippo remains one of the most beloved brands
in the world today.
In honor of Founder’s Day, this sleek High Polish Black keepsake features a young
George G. Blaisdell posing with a larger-than-life sales model on the front
of the lighter in an elegant Photo Image design. A consummate salesman, these
oversized replicas were one of Mr. Blaisdell’s favorite demonstration tools –
second only, perhaps, to the Zippo Car, which we celebrate with our
2023 Collectible of the Year!
A later portrait of Mr. Blaisdell appears on
the reverse side, anchored by his signature and
set under a laser-engraved representation of
his real-life seal of approval. The evolution of
Zippo’s date code system – an invaluable tool for
collectors all over the world – forms a subtle
backdrop on each side of the piece. Each lighter
features a commemorative bottom stamp and
comes in giftable packaging.
